| Comments: | I used to own a 64 bug about 20 years ago. My son turned 16 and wanted a bug. We found a guy who sold us the 69 (runnung sort of) and the 64 short the distributor. Plus 5 engines and three transmissions. Along with tons of other goodies. I have just got my son's 69 running good and have started on looking at the other motors. I feel like I know nothing and can't seem to find the spicific answers in the books that I have bought. So I am searching for answers. |

| Comments: | liked all the info, a buddy of mine had cis on a 74 bus and it worked perfectly, he gave me the system when the bus rotted away. we are currently putting kjet on a turbo jetta sand rail. subaru turbo and homebuilt plumbing. take this to heart kejet will not work with turbos unless it was designed for it. cannot get rich enough under boost. much hair pulling on this. lol. hope to here from you and can send pics also. thx russ and friends |

| Comments: | Nate, (this may sound a little strange please bear with me) I found your (water art) site last year, when I was living in San Jose. You mention living in Lemoore on the site. At the time I thought that I remembered someone (PO2 Morse) though I wasnt sure of the first name, from when I was in the Navy at NAS Lemoore. I thought there was no way you could be the same person. He had a brown VW with a chrome roll cage in it. A very good friend of mine Peter Gelbman was getting help/advice about his newly purchased 68 bug. I was driving a jeep back then though I actually looked at buying Petes bug from him when he got out, but the Ca. smog laws at the time were still yr65 and down. There was no way his bug would have passed the visual inspection. To make a long story short, I caught a link to your site again on the STF, with your full name and realized you were the same person I knew (though not well) way back when. | Comments: | Am thankful for your effort, am doing again after many years, it appears I'd forgotten quite a bit. Who is the worst rebuilder in the valley? What is involved in putting a large bore kit on an existing single relief 1200 engine? Lower end of 1200 was running and not leaking, My 1886 duel port is loosing a rod, thanks to my ever so careful friends. Becides needing to change center studs, is case relief necessary? Are there any other problems I'll run into? I would greatly appreciate you input.

i am hoping to rebuild one to take a
judson supercharger for my 56 oval
